Hundreds of
editorials
were forcibly removed from my site by Elizabeth A.
McNamara, acting as councel for Advance Magazine
Publishers Inc. and its division The Conde Naste
Publications, representing Vogue, Glamour, Allure, Jane,
Vanity Fair & Mademoiselle AND by Debra S. Weaver,
Senior Counsel, The Hearst Corporation, representing Harper's
Bazaar, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Cosmo Girl, Redbook
& Esquire.
Apparently, these entities have not embraced the
internet as a useful marketing tool, and also seem to
frown on free advertising. This site always stayed 3
months behind the current issue in the newsstand, as to
not interfere with the sales of the magazine. I created
this section as an "Archive" for fashionistas,
photographers, editors, and other researchers who wish to
have access to fashion history. It is my hope that this
narrow-mindedness is not representative of the entire
industry, but only a few individuals.
HMM ... Something to think about the next time your
subscription comes up for renewal. (IMHO) |
